A consistent movement and strength practice helps preserve muscle mass and strength, leading to better health as we age for several reasons:
Muscle helps us maintain Mobility and range of motion.
Weight bearing/bone loading exercise improves Bone Health and reduces risk of osteoporosis.
Physical activity boosts circulation and improves Heart Health.
Maintaining muscle, improves Balance and helps prevent falls.
Muscle is like a Glucose Sink, helps boost our metabolism, control weight, regulates blood sugar.
Maintaining muscle and strength, helps us stay Independent and Active.
Above physical benefits, exercise releases endorphins, which can improve Mental Health, reducing stress, helping with memory, focus and cognitive function.

Master Movement Classes at Movement 4
The focus of our Masters Movement class is to maintain strength and bone health as well as balance and mobility. The goal in all classes at M4 is pain free movement, so we offer the ability to work at your own pace and each class can be adjusted to the individual. We want you to be able to move well and have fun doing it, in a safe and supportive community.
Class times – Tuesday 10am, Thursday 10am
Personal Training
If these times/classes are not for you, or you require a class that is more specifically designed around your individual needs and goals, I am also available for individual Personal Training Sessions. These are also held at Movement 4.
